tore ACL in 14yr girl with growth plates still open
My 14yr old daughter tore her ACL and possible her menicus. Her growth plates are still open and the doctors say there are risk to surgrey because of open growth plates. We have had 2 doctors tell us to rehab and after that she could wear a special brace and return to sports and when growth plates close then do sugrey. But one doctor said no sports of any kind until the acl is fixed. Has anyone else every experience this before.

did you ever have the surgery-this recently happened to my 14 year old son- he tore his acl we treated for 2 months conservative, then he reinjured- the M.D. is wanting to do surgery > My son is still growing but he is a big 14 year old. I would love feed back
