torn calf muscle

I tore my calf muscle playing racquetball.
I’ve elevated it for 3 days, done the RICE treatments.Now trying to begin stretch exercises but not sure what to do and how long to do it.Can you help me?
I need to know what to do now?Have not seen a doctor.

    If you have a TORN calf muscle and it’s only been three days I’m not sure if stretching is the right thing to do yet. I think you just need to rest it for about 2 or 3 more weeks (yep, you need to rest!) then start GENTLE stretching. Don’t get agressive or it will never heal properly. Continue ice for pain control, elevation for swelling, walk and do your normal everyday stuff…don’t overdue and let your body heal itself..don’t rush it. Good luck, Mya PT
