Torn Labrum in left shoulder

(3 discussions)

My son is almost 18 and underwent surgery to repair his torn labrum. It required 2 pins and the doctor said it was minor. He had the surgery on June 16th and is now in the second stage on re-hab and I can’t realy get a good answer from the therapist as to when he could start throwing lightly.

My son had surgery on his Labrum in his right shoulder on Monday, April 24, 2016. He tore his playing with the high school football and baseball team last school year. The doctor told us after the surgery that he would be in a sling for 4-6 weeks, then rehab for 4-6 weeks and would finally be able to play baseball for college in 6 months. Hope your son does well!!! I know what you are going through. My son is 18 and loves ball.
