Hi, I just wanted to tell you a story of a friend who had the same Siatic nerve problem . She was unable to walk and what she said was the only thing that helped her walk again was putting a vibrator or massager on her leg. I said I never wanted to forget it as she really found relief that way .My dad has it now and won’t listen to me so I am reading stuff here on the internet to possibly help him .Please let me know if it helps you and if you have found anything that might help him . Thanks ,Carol Copeland

Just read comments from Carol and Sadie, I have been suffering with a trapped siatic nerve now for at least 4 months. I have finally seen a Consultant Physio who has me on an exercise programme i.e. brisk walking on a treadmill if possible, gentle cycling in a pool and use of Jacuzzi and steam room or sauna etc to get circulation back in the leg muscles – it does help but the pain still comes back but I am told will get worse before better and to allow six weeks of this programme. I am hoping after just three weeks doing this that things will improve. Hope this is of help exercise instead of rest I am told is the way forward. Pain killers I agree do only work for around two hours. Finding a comfortable sleeping position and even relaxing on the sofa or my main problem has anyone found the best way to sit or sleep. Also I use a heat pad when relaxing and going to sleep which does help a little.
