Ulnar nerve transposition

Hi, I’m an 18y/o softball pitcher and have been having elbow pain in my throwing arm for about 3 years, occuring along with a snapping sensation and numbness and tingling in the 4th and 5th fingers. My doctor has me scheduled for ulnar nerve transposition because he believes that the ulnar nerve is popping out of the cubital tunnel upon extention. I really would like more details on recovery time and the amount of time spend in PT and what PT entails

My son is having the same symptoms pitching baseball. We saw Dr. Yocum the Angels team doctor and he can’t really prescribe anything other than Aleve to make it better. Since you were able to pitch through it for three years, are there any exercises you tried which worked on a temporary basis? I have spent hours on the net hoping to find a solution, but all I am finding out is that it is pretty common, and it takes a long period of rest (month or more) for improvement.
