Uneven Hips

(2 discussions)

I have had a bad back for the last 3 years. I have been going to an Osteopath for that length of time as well.
My back was not getting any better, so decided that I would go back to my doctor who inturn sent me to see a physiotherapist.
The Physiotherapist says that my right hip is higher than the other, which is causing pain in the joint that joins the sacrel bone. Is it possible for the joint to be realined and also what is this condition called.

I recently discovered that my left leg was shorter than my right. One hip is higher than the other. I discovered this only after having back pain which also disclosed a bad disk. I had an ACL & a 1/3 of my meniscus removed about 15 years ago. This leg eventully bent outward. Could this have disturbed my frame? If so what is the proper medical terminology called? Is a shoe lift good for solving the shortness problem. Can tight muscles cause the hip length to change? Can loosening the muscles solve the problem?
