Upper Tibialis Antrior Pain

I work out everyday 30 min. step aerobics. Low impact.Recently I have had trouble with a muscle in my leg. It hurts on the left leg outside of the Patellar Ligament (Upper Tibialis Anterior muscle?)When I flex my foot up and even walk it feels as if someone is plucking my muscle. Very painful. What is happing? And what can I do to make it better?

Sounds like you may have shin splints. Go see a doctor and get a correct diagnosis. Also, are you wearing good shoes? When you stand are you pretty flat-footed? If you are you need shoes that provide good support as not to put a stress load on your anterior tibialis with activity. Ask for a pronator shoe if appropriate. Good luck, Mya
