Used Newport Brace (post hip replacement surgery) orthotic devise.

I successfully underwent your standard Hip Revision surgery November of 2011. During the recovery and for a portion of the rehab time I had to wear/use the Newport Brace (for about 6-8weeks). I am fullly recovered and advised the revison is good for another 20 years (all things being equal). The question now is: What do I do with the Newport Brace? I thought maby there is a charitable organization that in fact collects such orthotic devices evan though I was specifically measured (pre surgery) for the devise. Do you know where I can dispose of the brace where it can be useful to someone else?

    Hello,
I’m hoping that you might help me. I have a patient who I’ve been treating for free who has a chronic posterior hip dislocation. She cannot afford a brace by herself. My hope is that your brace might be adapted for her, as she is in dire need. If you still have the brace, I would be willing to pay for it, if need be. Any help you can lend would be appreciated.
    Sincerely, Dr. Dan
