Using 1 crutch
(2 discussions)
I have a fractured right fibula and wearing a cam walker and 2 crutches.
I will start using only 1 crutch in a few days.
Which side should I use the crutch on, the left side (opposite side of the injury) or the right side (same side as the injury)? Thank you

You use the crutch on the uninjured side... When you step you move the crutch along with the injured side and then when you step with your good foot you have the bad foot and the crutch on the floor thus increasing your stability while on the injured foot.
