Wide Feet

I have very wide feet.
Its hard for me to just go to the store and buy a pair of sandels.
All my summer shoes are slide on shoes.
I want to know is there surgery for this?
Can something be done about the width of my feet?
I wear a size 9 show and alway shave to buy 10 1/2 and larger to just accomdate my feet.
Even after that I have all this room in my shoe, and I look silly.
Again this maybe a silly question, but is there such surgery to reduce the width of your foot?
They are very fat feet.

If your foot was wide because of a deformity such as a bunion, then surgery might be an option. Since you did not mention any specific deformity, I must assume you are unhappy with the overall width of your foot. I am not inclined to recommend surgery for this at all. There are many resources for shoes that fit wide feet. Easy Spirit, SAS, Rockport, Cloudwalkers are but a few names. You can do a search on Google for women’s wide width shoes. Zappos is another Internet resource. It is not good to get a longer shoe for a wider foot. The widest part of the foot should fit the widest part of the shoe. When you put a 9 length in a 10 1/2 they do not match up length wise. You need to look for better fitting shoes- they are out there. Good luck
