wrapping a reoccurring injury for a race

Should I wrap a reoccurring leg injury(tibia stress fracture) as a precautionary measure on race day? Understand the associated risks with this and won’t run if pain is too much. Have limited my last 6 weeks to deep water running.
I want to make sure wrapping isn’t counter intuitive.

    wrapping can poorly help you in your race day because it doesn’t directly address the concern you have of having an MTSS aka “shin splints”. Its better to apply athletic taping that can limit the tibial rotation or application of kinesiotape on your pretibial muscles before you attend your most awaited rest day…!
