wrist/ forearm tendonitis

My 15 y.o. daughter was diagnosed with tendonitis of the forearm/ wrist area from overuse as a fastpitch softball pitcher.
She has not used it for several weeks, xray was negative, has been taking Anaprox anti-inflammatory for several weeks and tried the velcro wrapped brace with the air pillow to hold the tendon in place.
The pain is much better since she started in the medicine, until she tries to pitch or throw the ball.
We don’t know whether to encourage her to work through the pain as some have suggested with no use the tendon and muscle can be tightening up and causing the pain or to continue to rest it even though it’s been 3 weeks. Any advice?

heyi was just told that it was possible that I have tendonitis of the forearm. this is a result of full time working carrying heavy objects and also playing guitar. one this that I extremely advise you NOT to do is play through the pain as this can cause further damage to the muscle and area.
