xray
I’m in possession of my foot xray until I see the doctor on Monday. I see a spot on the right medial calcaneus, more forward than near the back, about the size of a dime or less, rather “clear” looking. I’m not asking for a diagnosis, but would like to know if x-rays show artifacts.

In answer to your question- yes x-rays depending on the way they are shot can have artifacts. Some of the possibilites you may be seeing are a bone cyst (fairly common and often not a problem)or an area of radiolucency that is commonly noted in the calcaneus.A comparison view of the other foot might be helpful.
