lump on instep and painful ankles
(2 discussions)
I have a rather large lump on my left instep that just occured within the past week or so for no apparent reason. The lump is hard to see but can be felt. Since this has occured, both my ankles feel like they have stiffened up and wont bend. The top of my right foot feels like it wants to crack or something. Any suggestions? Thank you.

The term "lump" can mean different things to a doctor vs. a patient. The best thing for you to do is to see a podiatrist and get further examination and evaluation.

I have had a painful/brusied feeling lump on the right outside of the leg above the ankle. Lump can be seen when I am standing and looks reddish underneath. It has been around for months.
