Lump on top of foot
(2 discussions)
My 15 year old son has a lump on his right foot, about centered between his ankle joint and big toe. It causes him pain, especially when he is playing hockey. It feels quite hard, almost like a bone.
Any ideas on what this maight be??
Thanks!

Without seeing this or examining it, I would be guessing. One possibility is a ganglion, if this came up rrecently. Another possibility is a bone spur. I recommend you see a podiatrist or orthopedist.

My 14 yr. old son also has a lump on top of his foot. It causes him pain when he plays basketball and is more active. The severity of the pain comes and goes, also he saw a family doc who ordered xrays, which we have not yet taken. Have you received a diagnosis yet?
