Inflamed Rotator Cuff
(2 discussions)
My right rotator cuff has an imingement syndrone. An MRI and x-ray revealed no tear, but a swollen bursa/superspinatus (sp?).
I was given an injection of cortizone, but that didn’t help much.
I feel the pain the most when I am sleeping and try not to move my arm much.
I am also taking an anti-infalamatory (bextra) with doesn’t seem to help at all.
Should I get another shot?
I am 42 and very athletic.
I stopped my swimming and lifting months ago and now I just run to stay in shape.
I am doing minimal exercises so not to effect my shoulder.
What can I do and what are my options? Any suggestion are greatly appreciated.Dan
