My toe, next to my big toe, on my right foot, is numb.
I have bulging disks, a herniated disk and spinal stenosis, with awful sciatica. Can back problems cause a toe to go numb?
Sure they can. Problems in the spine lead to numbness all the time. Sometimes they can be corrected and the numbness goes away and sometimes they can’t. Basically you can get a lesion on the spinal nerve the decreases the nerve’s ability to carry information to and from the brain. When this happens you get numbness or loss of control over a muscle or other organ. It is like when you sit wrong and your foot or leg goes numb but when you remove the pressure you get feeling back into your leg. It is just like that. Go see a DC and try a few adjustments on for size and see if it helps.
