    hey there,
the typical presentation is for a numbness or tingling with a disc herniation, muscle weakness is also a problem as the nerve roots are pinched by the disc fragments. occasionally hyperesthesia occurs, which is symptoms of increased sensitivity. This can happen with any kind of nerve irritation, but is not the typical presentation, and i have found it to be of shorter duration than they typical numbness. what treatment are you getting for this?? there is excellent results for conservative therapy but occasionally surgery is necessary if the symptoms are severe.
