3rd post op day bunionectomy…

I am a little worried, it is my 3rd post op day. I had a bunionectomy with Akin osteotomy with a fixation screw and a k-wire. My big toe is still numb, not completely, but like pins and needles when I touch it. Is this normal? I am in a fair amount of pain that is getting better each day, but I am taking the percocet around the clock. Are these signs of complications? I see my doctor tomorrow for a dsg change. Thanks!

  1. When you see your doctor, you will of course discuss your concerns. Without seeing or knowing your particulars, I can not give exact answers. It is very common to have these feelings after many surgeries, not only bunion surgery.
