Burning pain on back of heel

For approximately 2 weeks I have suffered from a sharp burning pain on the back of my heel when walking in cool to cold weather.
The area becomes painful to the touch The pain is localized to that particular area and is only noticeable when it is cold (Cleveland winter weather).
Upon return to room temperatures, I feel absolutely no pain and it is not painful to the touch. Please advise.

Since you are at a law school I will be judicious in my answer. (My law student daughter rolls her eyes when I say this). There are several possibilities that might casue your complaint. I would suggest you see a podiatrist and have an examination and possibly x-rays. Good luck.
