numb toes

My toes get numb (all of them) when I exercise on the eliptical for over 20 min (most of the time) and last night I went out and wore heals, which I rarely do and 24 hours later they are still numb. should I be concerned? I know that my dads cousin had bad circulation and had to have legs amputated before she died, so it makes me worry that I have to worry about this

traveling pain

I twisted my left ankle twice last year while walking for exercise. Since the last twist, I quit exercising for various reasons. In the last 4 months I have gained 40 lbs. Within the last 4 weeks, I started with pain in my ankle as if I had twisted it again. Not long after the pain moved down to the joint near the pinky toe, then moved across all the joint of all toes and now encompasses the entire foot with either pain or stiffness. It is worse when I wake up in the morning it takes 30 to 40 minutes to get my body moving mostly my foot (my back gets really stiff too). I helped for a short while to wear a brace but now that no longer helps. If I sit for long periods at work it takes a long while to get moving and I have trouble walking due to pain. I am only 30 years old and I shouldn’t feel this way. I need to walk for exercise again to get all this weight off. help!

spongy feeling on bottom of feet

(3 discussions)

for the last three years or so, my mother has been complaining of a spongy feeling on the bottom of both feet.
She says its getting worse.
She saw a Dr. about two years ago (not a podiatrist) and he couldn’t find anything wrong.
It’s not diabetes. shes been tested for that.
She has trouble walking a straight line in a small area for example when she’s bowling.
She said she had so much trouble this year that she may not go back to bowling next year.
She’s 72.
Can you help?

Posterior Tibial Tendonitis

(2 discussions)

HI. I am a big over pronator and has been having “shin splints” for 4 years, which really was tendonitis.
This past track season, my arch started to ache and the rest of the tendons started to pull and hurt.
Then one race my whole foot just pulled and I have been out for 3 months with posterior tibial tendonitis.
I got orthotics and have been doing rubber band exercises for the past month to strengthen my right foot.
I just started running this past week and I can run 10 min with out any pain, or little.
Then I start getting a burning sensation that starts in the back of my foot and starts up the arch.
Should I run through this pain?
Any other suggestions on rehab and will I ever be able to run like I use to?
