lump at sides of arches

(3 discussions)

I have a lump on the side of each foot arch (the inner side of the arch between the top of foot and bottom of arch).
Been ther forever.
Lately these lumps and the surrounding arches have been feeling a little achey.
What are the lumps?
I read someplace that it could be an over growth of the platar facia. Is there anything zI can do to relieve the uncomfortable feeling such as getting arch supports because I do have high arches.

Thanks for the reply and I will tryt he OTC soft arch supports, but the lumps in the arch areas, any suggestions about what they could be? like I said they have been there forever…they feel like fat tissue, almost like the gangloin cysts I have in my hands. best I can describe them.

It certainly can’t hurt to try an over the counter soft arch support. If that doesn’t seem to help then I recommend you see a podiatrist.

Maybe the areas where the lumps are is called the instep because the arch I guess is at the bottom of the the foot. The lumps are at the side of the instep. Between the top of foot and the arch but closer to the top.
