best pillow for neck

What is the best pillow to buy for my neck pain?
I sit at a desk all day long looking at a computer.
I do neck exercises and get up to stretch but my neck is sore at times.
I use just a regular synthetic pillow right now but just know a better pillow would help me.
What do you recommend?
I sleep on my back as well as on my side.

Chiropractic neck manipulation and stroke questions

Hey well I’ve been seeing a chiro for a while now for neck stiffness and dizzyness, I was told that the problem was in my neck my c1 and c2 vertabra was all misaligned and I was going to the chiro 2 time a week then 1 time a week and now just once a month, however I am slightly worried about the whole controversy of stroke related to neck manipulation, and this last time it kind of hurt when I got adjusted which I know is pretty normal but I don’t know I just have anxiety and it kind of freaks me out well thanks guys.

plantar fascitius

I was just diagnosed with plantar fascitus and I got steriod injections about 3 days ago. My docter told me to get a night splint but I cannot afford one so I bought an ace bandage and a heel cup support cup. will this help my foot or just make it worse. I’m not allowed to work for 2 weeks and my docter wants me to stay off of it for at least 2 months until it heal because I was on it for so long without any treatment that I caused 2 small heel spurs or fractures. any advise on the ace bandage if it wil lhelp or not??

Torn Rotator Cuff

(2 discussions)

I tore my right rotator cuff in a skiing fall on May 12th.
How long should I wear a sling? When is it BEST to start exercises? I know it needs rest to heal but also am concerned about “use it or lose it”. Can’t get in to Orthopedic until June 6 and a PT after that so wanting to know what is best to do in the mean time for the best possible recovery.
Thank you.

No ankle movement

Hi, I broke the mid shaft of my right tibia in july. The doctor put a rod and screws in it. I got an X-ray about a month ago and it was still not completely healed, do you know why this is? I also have very limited movement in my ankle, I’m not sure why, the doctor says it is soft tissue but I have been going to physio for atleast 4 months and they say that it is the tib/fib joint and they don’t know what to do. I’m more concerned about the ankle because im only 18 and I have pain from this and I can hardly do a squat. When I do go to physio a little movement comes back after alot of stetching then it is gone a little while later. What should I do?

achilles tendon

I have a case of Achilles tendon rupture PARANOIA…years of running in the wrong footwear, inadequate calf stretching, not warming up enough before running, and running too much (once a day) has left me thinking the next step I take could result in a popping sound! When I get up in the morning, my feet feel fine for the most part, a little sore on the heels and when I go to stretch the Achilles tendon or when I’m just sitting around, sometimes there’s a dull pain present where the Achilles attaches to the heel bone.
I’m wearing adequate footwear which corrects my SLIGHT PRONATION now though. So…how much and many times should I stretch my calves and Achilles tendon and if I have micro tears in my Achilles tendon, even if they feel fine, will they eventually repair themselves w/rest. Is it safe 2 walk a mile? I’m paranoid because my thinking is that the Achilles tendon is only so thick, and any mirco tears would eventually lead to the total breakdown of the a.t. also, if one tendon is torn, wouldn’t the other one be right behind it? Or is it that if u don’t completely tear it, it will eventually repair itself? I know these are a lot of questions, so any help would relieve the paranoia which haunts me day-day.thanxkeith
