Extreme pain on bottom of heel.

Hi there,
I stepped on a small rock in my back yard.
I hurt the bottom of my left heel. Pressure really makes it hurt. At times I have sharp pains in my heel.
releif is to not walk on my foot.
But I cannot stop walking. I even bought pads to put in my shoes.
I donot know for sure that either I have a severe stone brusie or have injured a heel spur.
Can you give me any info what to do?
Will this heal on its own.
It is very, very painful.
Many thanks.

shoulder strain

my shoulder is strained in the rotator cuff, to elaborate, it hurts and I can not lift my arm at the shoulder pivot point up in front if me and sideways to my body. The pain subsided after 2 days of non use, I regained mobility, so I worked out, lifting heavy went normal, but basketball shooting caused re-agitation. What should I do?

arm pain

Below is a link to a video of me making four movements with my right arm.
The first two movements do not hurt.
The second two movements produce a sharp, hollow pain in my upper arm. This pain comes and goes and has dogged me for at least 7 years.
It has also manifested sometimes in my other arm.Any ideas on what it could be?sensored://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n194/holyjes/?action=view&current=57a0ce1e.pbr

Big toe is DETACHING

I have had a fungal problem for several years and I just ignored it after I reacted badly to the medicine that they gave me when I was 12.
But now, I can lift up my entire toenail, except where it is connected at the base.
I already went to the docter and they are doing a fungal test on it.
I am waiting for that to come back- but now my nail is turning soft in the center.
Will my nail ever reattach to my toe again?

Possible Lumbar Fracture?

I am 21 years old, 125 lbs, 5’7″, healthy and active.About four or five months ago, I had a minor accident while paragliding. I will spare you the technical flight details, but it resulted in me coming in contact with the ground, feet first, at probably somewhere between 10-15mph, in a forward and downward direction. Afterwards, I had some mild lower back pain, but it didn’t bother me enough to stop flying. I experienced lower back discomfort when sitting in certain positions or performing certain motions for about two weeks afterwards, but it was mild enough to ignore. Now, about a week ago, I was sledding on a local hill and the little kids had built a ramp on the side of the hill. I was sitting upright with my legs in front of me on the sled, and when I went down the ramp, I landed down hard. It seems to have woken a sleeping giant of lower back pain, as slouching in any manner is pretty uncomfortable, and laying down feels better if I put a pillow under the small of my back. I’m not experiencing any numbness, weakness, or stabbing pain. It seems to feel better when I massage my lower back near the point where the pain is sharpest.I’m afraid there might be a vertebral fracture, but is it possible I’ve just sprained or strained something?

5th Metatarsal broken

I have broken my 5th metatarsal two weeks ago (Aug. 17, 2003) playing soccer. It felt like a sprained ankle was there too but X-rays showed that its only the fifth metatarsal. The Doctor in the emergency room and my family doctor replacement痴 opinion totally contradict each other: one said that I can walk on my foot as soon as I can tolerate the pain wearing stiff hiking boots, and the other one says there is no way that I can walk on it now and it値l neve heal if I do so. The fracture is at the end of 5th metatarsal (less than 1 cm from the end, outside of my right foot). My foot is not swollen anymore and I can walk on it without too much pain now. I need to get on my foot in order to get to work, etc. ASAP. Please tell me which procedure should I follow. I知 totally lost here. I’m not sure which kind of fracture it is? (i.e. Jones, Avulsion, etc.)

big toe problem

(2 discussions)

I have had this problem with one of my big toes a couple times now and I am trying to figure out what it is.
It seems to occur when I’ve done a lot of walking in stiff, thin-soled shoes (I also have no arch in my feet).
What happens is my right big toe starts to hurt really bad on the outside edge and toward the base of the toe.
Then within a day or two there is a large bruise just below where the pain was.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
