Re: Foot numbness during exercise

(5 discussions)

I have this exact problem, I am very frustrated because it’s shortening my workout because after about 20-30 minutes all I can focus on is how numb my toes and the balls of my feet are-Any suggestions?

I have the same problem the previous person mentioned whenever I do exercise on an exercise bike or walk on a treadmill the ball of my feet and my toes go numb. I have tried loosening the shoelaces and changing position of my feet but until I stop the exercise the feet stay numb.

I could do the eliptical trainer for hours, if only my feet didn’t go numb on it. I can’t keep my mind off of how uncomfortable the feeling is. Once I finish, and start walking a few feet though, the numbness goes away. Have you found any solution other than poor circulation and tight shoes?

are your shoes laced too tight? (i’m not kidding, this is a common cause of foot numbness).

Mark me down as another with numb toes. I started working out again 5 weeks ago. My big toe starts first, and it moves on until my middle toe. My workout partner told me the same thing happens to her. Very odd, and I’m working on a solution. I started to take something for better circulation that just says “Vein Health” on the bottle, from Nature’s source (I think that’s where it’s from). I don’t think it’s done anything.I’ll post if I find what it might be. Feel free to email me if you have an idea (aside from shoes too tight).

Im glad I am not the only one experiencing this problem. Everytime I do anykind of cardio workout, my feet go numb from my toes to the arch of my foot. It seems mainly to happen on my right foot but does happen on my left as well. (And yes my laces are somewhat loosened up). Any suggestions or cures for this problem?
