red, achy, tender toes

my toes are red, achy, tender to the touch. there are no new shoes in the equation, nothing has changed in my diet or lifestyle. I can’t figure it out. any ideas?

Unfortunately, you have not given enough information to narrow down possibilities. It could possibly be an allergy, vasospasm, Raynauds phenomenon, dermatitis, fungus, bacterial infection, sweating disorder etc. You probably should see a podiatrist.

I have exactly the same problem. My toes look red, but the skin is unbroken and at first glance looks quite healthy. On close inspection there are pin sized little holes all over my toes. They feel very hot, and tender to the touch… they just feel like they are burning.Any advice would be welcome.
