use of ankle support
I have a collapsed ankle and am thinking about surgery.
Until I make a decision I have been wearing an anklet support (neosporene) and have found that it helps considerably with pain when walking around.
I was told by a friend that I could cause other problems by wearing this.
Is that so?

Ankle supports are quite commonly used. Some folks can have a heat rash from the heat and moisture that are trapped. As far as other problems- I do not want to second guess what your friend meant. Perhaps you might ask for further information.
