Test for anterior cruciate health?

(2 discussions)

Hello.

I injured my right knee playing football about a year ago.

I had an arthoroscopy on my knee back in November. During the op. I had some loose meniscus cartilage removed.

The operation has cleared up the symptoms of swelling and pain during exercise. However, the surgeon expressed concern over the state of my anterior cruciate ligament (after spotting a partial tear). After a physical examination later that month, another doctor gave me the all clear.

I have spent the last two months working on my quads and legs generally and now feel I would like to try playing footie again. Is there a test I can carry out on myself for that nagging cruciate ligament doubt?

Thanks.
