Knee injury – Knee cap was stressed.
Hi,
Anyone got any ideas what I have have pulled?
My knee cap was pushed, I think upwards, and now under my knee is hot, slightly swollen, and painfull. I have tried to search on here to find exactly what I might have pulled but can’t find any information.
I know it’s not the medial ligament as I have damaged that before and know it well. It doesn’t hurt to stress the knee sidways, it’s just around my knee cap. It hurts if I straighten my knee and tense the muscles and also a little if I bear weight on it while the knee is bent. The main pain and swelling is at the bottom, outside corner.
I am assuming it must be one or more of the tendons that hold the knee cap in place.
I’m not sure yet how bad it is as I only did it a few hours ago. I will know in the morning though!!!! And yep, I have iced it!
Thanks for any ideas,
Sarah.
