Any ideas?…

I get a pain on the inside of my lower left shin (the boney area under the calve muscle) that gradually gets worse as I run/walk on it, it’s bearable at first but then gets worse until i take pressure off of it, it slowly starts to spread up, what feels like the bone of my left leg (only a few inches). Is this shin splints? and what should I do? just rest it?..i’ve had this injury for over a month now and haven’t really had the chance to rest it properly because of very important rugby matches I’ve had to play in. Thanks for any advice.
