bicep tendon

I tore my bicep tendon away from the bone on the lower end down by the elbow. I had surgery to reattach the tendon 5 months ago. Since I have been released to return to work but am experiencing some difficulties. I have lost about 45 degrees of pronation in the elbow, I still have numbness in the forearm down by my wrist, and when use the arm alot I have pain in the back of the elbow for 1 or 2 hours. Is this normal or something that won’t go away and I will have to learn to live with. Thank You
