Incorrect Orthotics

Can prefabricated orthotics change/damage the structure of a foot?
Within what amount of time? If someone with no prior foot ailments bought over the counter orthotics and wore them for nine months for debilitating plantar fasicitis, (despite pain in the toes that started to occur with the wearing of the orthotics), started to notice tailor’s bunions were forming, stopped wearing the orthotics, and then proceeded to develop spreadfoot and bunions on both the big and small toes, could the foot structure have been changed by the prefabricated orthotic?

I recommend you see a podiatrist for evaluation. You should bring your tennis shoes with you at the visit.
