About eight months ago I had pain in my foot and I was told I had a small cuboid frx. I wore a cast for 4 weeks and there has been no pain since, but a few days ago I noticed the pain is returning. Is it possible to recrack the bone?
Yes it is certainly possible. If your cuboid was fractured, I think another period of 6 weeks of immobilization is necessary. If it is the accessory bone (os peroneum) that is fractured, then it may never heal and may need to be excised.
