lump next to spine upper neck

my daughter has a lump next to the spine at the base of her neck, the doctor said it was a gland that filtered spinal fluid? I have never hear of this, what is your oppinion?

Second opinion. Probably just a lipoma (benign).

I had the same thing. Actually I feel about 3-4 on my neck. It is pretty scary. I went to the DR. and had and exam and blood work done. all tests came back fine. My Dr. said it was probably just a lympd. Sometimes they go away on their own. If it ever caused pain it could be removed.
