patello-femoral syndrome

I am a current athletic trainer at Frostburg State University and I am seeing that several new track athletes are being diagnosed with Patello-femoral syndromes.
Is there any sort of rehabilitation programs that I could go about to strengthen the athletes so this injury is not so dominant?

    A good hamstring stretching and limited range quad/knee extension program is the best preventitive. I bet most of the athletes that have this have tight hamstrings. Stretch these out and most will not suffer.
