shoulder blade pain
Dr. Buting, I hope you can help me.
I am a 22 year old female with upper back pain mainly on the edge of my right shoulder blade.
I have had it for almost two years and it is getting worse.
I have seen the Dr. for it who told me to go to physical therapy but that was only temp relief.
I have tried muscle relaxers, pain releaver and phyiscally therapy from two different places. Nothing seems to be working and it is a constant chronic pain that is interuppting my everyday life.
I am getting very frusterated.
The last doctor I seen referred me to a spine specialist.
There they did an MRI of my spine and found nothing and before he will do anymore tests he wants me to try physically therapy again with pain meds.
I have already been through all of that and just want to get to the bottom of this.
I am hoping you have some suggestions for me. ThanksDanyel

i have this same pain Danyel…feels like someone is sticking a hot knife around the shoulder blade… I also experience numbness in that area which leads me to think it is a pinched nerve…my mother suggested putting myself in traction….a notion I am now considering, especially now that the pain is becoming unbearable…if you do find an answer… I would appreciate you letting me know about it…
