Shoulder Injury

My 15 year old son hurt his shoulder during wrestling in February of this year. As usual at the time he said it was sore, but not a problem. Three weeks ago it became a problem. We have been to two doctors and the second one did an MRI. The results showed fluid on the Subdeltoid Buras and a partial tear of the Supraspinatus Tendon.
Now we are waiting to hear when the appointment with the Orthopedic Specialist is scheduled for. After 8 years in wrestling and 5 years in football this is his first serious injury and we are complete rookies in this area. If anyone has encountered this praticular injury please let us know what method of treatment was used and your outcome. Thanks.

i am 18 and had orthoscopic surgery of my shoulder 6 weeks ago for what is called a SLAP legion and a labral tear and from my knowledge it is very similar if not the same as your sons injury accept i injured mine lowering a shoulder into someone during a football game. Even 6 weeks out of suergery i still have some pain and even with therapy 3 time per week i wont be back to 100% for another month.
