Are baby hammocks dangerous for spinal development?

Hi there,Am a first time mom and have heard good things about hammocks for newborns… I am specifically considering the Amby sling, made in Australia. Do hammocks affect spinal development when used for naps? Many thanks!

Yes, baby hammocks might affect the growth of the spine. Causing the baby to have a curvature if the spine. Which can get worse over time. This can also make the baby shorten when it is grown up. A regular bed or memory foam bed would be best for the spine. Once the spine is over curved there is no turning back. Best regards Dr. Josh
