Stiches
I sustained a deep cut long (shape of a ‘C’) on the bottom ball of my foot.
I have a few dissolvable stiches inside and 12 stiches on the outside.
How long should the stiches remain in the bottom of my foot?
The ER doctor told me 10 days I could have them removed and start walking, another doctor has told me 20 days, I am not sure who to believe?
Could you help me please, I would like to get back to my normal routine.

Generally speaking I leave stitches in the bootm of the foot up to 3 weeks. I each patient as there are variations in healing. I also keep the patient non weight bearing during this time. Remember just because you get the stitches out does not mean you are entirely healed. That will take several more weeks even months depending on the extent of the injury.
