TENS Unit and Epilepsy

Hi Dr. Abrams:I am currently seeing a pain management clinic for right foot pain and who sent me to an acupuncurist, and due to the sensativity of the foot she does not think I am a good candidate. I am being treated for what they think is a mild case of RSD.
They want me to try a TENS Unit, but I have heard mixed things about using it on people with Epilepsy, granted it has been 16 years since my last seizure, but I do not want to risk anything.
Is this something safe to use or not???-Kolleen
