bruised bone in knee

Help!
I have been diagnosed with a bruised bone in my knee.
It hurts horribly.
Is there anything I can do to speed up my recovery time?
When should I expect it to heal?

May PT
Dorothy,Deep bone bruses are notoriously slow to heal, but PTs can often speed the healing rate with some electrical modalities. Non-steroidal medications are also helpful. Have you asked your doctor for a Rx for the meds, as well as a referral to a PT? If not, please do so, and let us know what he says, as well as how you make out. Good luck!

Hi my name is Tom and I have recently suffered a direct blow to my knee while playing in a rugby match. I have a very important game in two weeks, do you think I could possibly recover in time? The injury keeps occuring, do you advise I see a physio therapist? Many thanks
