Numbness in big toe
A month ago, I bought a new pair of tennis shoes. While wearing them on the first day, I unexpectedly ended up being on my feet all day. I felt pressure on my right big toe during the day and when I removed the shoes, I felt numbness on my right big toe. The numbness remains on the area under the nail bed and along the inside part of my toe along the nail. There is no pain, the nail looks fine, but it is irritating. Will these symptom go away on their own and if not, what causes the numbness, and what can be done to correct it?
Thanks.

If the sensory nerves have been mildly irritated they should recover in several months. There really isn't anything you can do to speed this up.
