Ankle – Foot Sprain
Hello-I have had ankle problems for quite a while including some severe sprains in the past.
Now when I “roll” an ankle or do something that would typically cause a decent amount of pain it seems to have virtually no effect.
I will feel multiple “pops” in the ankle and often show some bruising, but after the initial pain subsides I rarely feel pain.
I often job I have no cartilage left connected in my ankle.
Could this be true?
Also, just recently I have developed a lump between my heel and instep of the same foot which causes pain while attempting to make cuts while running.
Could this be a result of the ankle injuries?
Thanks.

Your ankle ligaments have possibly not healed tightly which allows you to sprain rather easily. A MRI would be indicated to get more information. I suggest you see a podiatrist for further information.
