Lump on top of foot – irritated by shoes
(2 discussions)
I have a small lump on the top of each foot.
Today, a shoe salesman said they are calcium deposits and I should work to position laces away from them to relieve the pressure.
Is there anything else I can do, as my dress shoes hurt too? Thanks so much.Janet

I would recommend you see a podiatrist and get an X-ray. Then you will have more information. To see is to know, not to see is to guess.

My sixteen year old daughter has got lumps on the top of both of her feet in the same spot on each foot – which have been aggrevated through rubbing from her school shoes. They have got to the point that she can’t wear her shoes any longer – they are a new pair of shoes – leather upper. Will these lumps go away? they are hard and painful. Is this a common problem?, if she stops wearing the shoes will they go away?
