u can do simple checks for achilles tendon sprains ruptures. I cant believ the ER doctor missed it probably takes about 2 minutes to discove whter u have achillie rupture,paratendonitis(the sheath) or tendonitis. easily treated (heel wedge rest ice)
Sass, I had a ruptured achilles’ tendon in 1995 and calf pain was the indicator. The ER doc (if you can call him that) missed it and said it was a bad sprain despite the fact I kept complaining about the calf pain. Calf pain IS the indicator for the achilles tendon. As we get older they get more brittle and we’re at risk for ruptures. So yeah, your symptoms fit. Sorry!
