Golf – Wrist

I have a very small ache in my right wrist (I’m right handed) after playing a round of golf. I understand this is a common golfing injury as its caused by hitting the ball very hard out of the rough and causing the wrist to stop at impact.
I don’t want the injury to get any worse, so I wouldn’t mind some advise now before it gets any worse.
