the bottom of my heel hurts

The other day while standing during work, I started feeling the bottom of my heel of my right foot hurting. As the days went by, it has become more of a nuisance than anything else. Now that it has been brought to my attention that it might have something to do with my Aguilles heel, I’m concerned. At the gym, I have a daily regime of cardio that varies from walking, spinning, stairmaster, that sort of thing. What can I do to remedy this pain? What exercise can I do in the meantime?

Haglund’s deformity – “pump bump”

I have what I believe to be Haglund’s deformity.
No pain involved just an ugly RED bump on the back of my foot.
Is there anything I can use to make the redness go away – a “bleaching” cream possibly??
It stays red all the time even if I don’t wear shoes all day.
Thank you.

Straightening Toes

(5 discussions)

I have slightly crooked toes on both feet which I think is because of the shoes I’ve been wearing most of my life.
I also have corns on both big toes and on my right foot I have two cyst-like lumps.
I am planning on buying larger shoes soon with more toe room, but I would also like to try out one or two of the toe straighteners I’ve found on the Internet.
Here are two sites:http://www.footsmart.com/ProductRecords.aspx?category=BT&pgtitle=Toe%20Straightener&srccode=IGKS357Hhttp://www.myfootshop.com/detail.asp?ProductID=706My questions are: 1) Do these toe straighteners actually work and if so how long will they take to work?
2) Since all of my toes are crooked in one way or another, which straightener would work the best?
3) In regards to the cyst-like bumps on my feet, what might the actual cause and cure be for this?
Thanks so much!

Calf Pain

Hi Coach,Can you help me out please.
I have been training for my first marathon and I have run into some problems.
I have excesive pain in the upper calf muscle on my left leg.
I did a little homework on the internet and found that the pain is at the Superior Tibiofibular Joint, if that helps any.
The guy I buy shoes from said, my left leg is slightly longer than my right.
He suggested that I use a shime in the heel of my right shoe to make up the difference.
He suggested using corrigated cardboard.
Whick was marginally effective at low milage to help a pain I was experiencing in the tendon that runs from my achilis tendon through the arch(this is not my concern at this time. it is just back ground), but now at 18 to 20 mile runs it is largly ineffective.
What do I do, the race is 1 month away? One other thing, I pronate.
Someone said an arch support in both shoes will prevent the fibula from being pushed up into the lateral tibula.
What do you think?
I’m trying to use medical terminology to help you help me.
I don’t have alot of time to play with options.Thanx, Ralph

lower back spasm, intense pain, please advise.

: My back has been in spasm, 3rd time, this is the worst. I have meds at my disposal but what is the best relief, walking? blood flow? I don’t want to live my life on pills. This spasm is on the lower right, really between the hip area and the spine. It feels like a cramp and a bad tooth ache combined, very deep and debilitating. Any advice is welcome. I have used ice pax and pills, lortab, skelaxin, and an anti inflamitory. seems western medicine is a ‘treat the symptom’ kind of medicine to me, perpetuates the drug biz. We need to fix the problem and lead healthy lives, not keep the pill and insurance industry in a money making position forever an ever.WyzangelFrom what I have read here no one answers this mess board, we can just freakin write to each other here, about anything, yes?
