Shin Pain….

After playing football my left shin is very painful and it becomes very uncomfortable to walk. It feels as though the pain is more in the bone than the muscle and doesnt seem to be going away. It hurts a little while playing but becomes much worse when i stop. Can anyone shed any light on this as it is preventing me getting back to full fitness for the start of next season.
