Torn Rotor Cuff

Hello all,
I have a completely torn rotor cuff that was treated with cortisone. The other shoulder(r/s) is also trouble. I have taken a cortisone shot around a year ago, and for the most part it has helped. But it uncomfortable enough that I cannot sleep on my left side.

I have a few questions since I began weightlifting a few months ago. Since the rotor cuff is completely torn, do I have to worry about using heavy weights? My r/s shoulder is also clicking and probably is on it’s way to being torn.

Is it worth the risk of getting an operation at this point, since generally my torn shoulder is generally pain free?

I know that I have to go back to the sports doc, and I am also curious to hear what you will have to say.

if you wait to long to repair the RTC then it will be unrepairable…….there is a window of time to repair it!
