Red Feet

(2 discussions)

Hi.
Can you please help me?
I’m really worried about my feet.Last Wednesday I took off my shoes and socks after work.
I notice that the top surface of both feet had tiny pink dots and was very dense.
I figured it was just athlete’s foot.
I put Lotrimin on that evening.
Later that night I soaked my feet.
Once I took my feet out from soaking, they were burning very bad for a couple of minutes.
I went to the doctor the next day.
She noticed that the feet were pink, but got really red when I stand on them, especially for a long period.
She perscribed he an anti-biotic and ibuprofen.
She figured it was just athlete’s foot, but didn’t seem sure.
The next day I went to see a podiatrist.
He figured it was just a reaction to foot fungus, but I wasn’t convinced that he seemed completely sure either.Any ideas?
The only things that were different was I took stool softeners earlier that week, was on my feet on Monday and Tuesday for long hours, and I recently switched fabric softener. Please let me know.
It is day 4 and they are still the same (red, especially when standing up, and all toes remain pink.
THe big toes seem somewhat swollen or firm).

There are several braces that are made by several labs. Collectively these types of braces are known as AFO’s. This means Ankle Foot Orthosis. Many podiatrists can make a plaster impression of your foot and ankle and send it off to be custom made. These braces are usually able to be worn in many but not all types of shoes. Good luck
